ANNOUNCEMENT: Call For Submissions For GameCareerGuide.com

Hey folks,

So we have a lot of smart people posting in the forums here, and so we wanted to open up a call for submissions for new articles for GameCareerGuide.com. Here is particularly what we're looking for:

- Postmortems of student games. If you've made one, and you explain the five things that went right and the five things that went wrong, we'd love to run it on GCG.com as a feature.

- Top ten lists. This is a new area for us, but we're really interested in student opinions on the state of gaming. For example, if you've been looking at certain genres of games while studying, maybe you could do a 'Top Ten FPS games' from your perspective, or 'The Top Ten Things I Learned While Doing Level Design' if you've done a class using UnrealEd or something similar. We'd love a wide selection of articles, and all that's really important is that it's written by a game student.

- Traditional submission subjects including student theses, opinion pieces about game education, and so on and so forth. Opinion pieces from teachers also appreciated!

If you're interested in submitting, please send over a brief (one or two paragraph) description of your article - and a description of where you are studying/teaching or who you are - to features@gamecareerguide.com - if it sounds good, we'll give the go-ahead. Those who write articles will get a lifetime free digital subscription to Game Developer magazine as payment.

People who have written articles before can still submit, of course

There's no deadline for article submission, since this will be an ongoing process, but please submit a brief description of your article (and who you are) before you write the whole thing, so we can approve it.
