  • Heads up, students: IGDA Scholars applications now open for GDC 2017

  • If you're a student studying anything related to game development and are interested in getting some support from the International Game Developers Association to attend next year's Game Developers Conference, know that the organization is now accepting applications for its GDC 2017 IGDA Scholars program through December 6th.

This is a notable opportunity for game dev student to attend the show, which has long been the world's largest (and longest-running) conference of game developers. Applicants selected to be an IGDA Scholar at GDC 2017 will get a free All-Access pass to the conference, a travel stipend, and support from an IGDA-arranged mentor.

Incidentally, you should know that you have to be an IGDA member in good standing to apply for these scholarships, as well as a current or recently-graduated (i.e. within six months) student.

Curious devs and would-be devs can learn more about the program and the application process over on the IGDA Scholars website.

Gamasutra and GDC are sibling organizations under parent UBM Americas
