    [08.21.08]
  • The Georgia Game Developers Association (GGDA) has announced that registration for the Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo (SIEGE) has opened.

The Expo, now in its second year and scheduled for Oct. 3-5 at the Hyatt Regency Suites hotel, will take a regional focus on the game design industry.

"Reaction to last year's SIEGE was everything we could hope for, and we're looking forward to an even greater event,” said Andrew Greenberg, SIEGE director and game design professor at the Art Institute of Atlanta, in a prepared statement. “Many of last year's speakers have asked to return, as well as leading game industry figures from all over the country. We're especially excited about having Mike Gallagher, head of the Entertainment Software Association, as one of our speakers," he said.

The expo will also includes several special events, such as game design tournaments, game playing tournaments, parties, a job fair, and a student fair for high school students and others looking for colleges. Conference sessions will include classes on the latest software, game design techniques, business issues, and more.

More information and registration for the event can be found at siegecon.net.
