Hi All,

I just want to make a quick announcement for those of you interested in getting into artificial intelligence and game development. I run a blog over at AiGameDev.com called Game AI for Developers.

It covers both programming and design side of AI in games, but it's development oriented with varying depths of technical content.

I've been really wanting to dip into some Artificial Intelligence, and I came across your blog.

First, the data is just too condensed and centered on the page. You have a very large void on the left-hand side of this blog and it distracts heavily on the content within your page. I would really like to see some of that void be utilized with some great AI knowledge, or even a really awesome graphic of some sort. But right now, it is incredibly distracting.

The site seems a bit daunting for somebody who doesn't really know much about AI. It would be nice if you welcomed newcomers to the AI field with a specific page that is directed towards the newbie, and make that apparent.

All in all, keep up the great work! You have a lot of great stuff!

Do you mind sharing what kind of stuff you'd expect as a "newbie"? I have an introduction page, but it needs a little work...

Thanks for the feedback about the design. (Do you mean the front page and/or the articles?) It certainly seems a love-hate thing, but I'll see what I can do! Ironically, most websites (including this one) have text of similar width text than AiGameDev.com, but it feels narrower somehow.

Maybe I should just left-align the whole thing!

Hi Alex!

So that is what your issue is. Yeah, right align just doesn't work very well for those with large resolutions. Look at my screen when I view your website. Now you can clearly see why I find it distracting.

Center is fine. Left aligned is fine. Right align, just throws me completely off.

As far as a beginner page. Disregard that. I ended up passing up the intro page.

It seems that you have got a pretty good start. A few things I noticed is that with image in the bottom left, you'll want to make the background transparent, and not white. That way when it goes over a black background, it will look better.

And as a personal preference, I like the side bar on the left, but that is not a big deal. Other than that the site looks good. I'll start reading through the actual content now.

Well, I finally fixed the look in way that I'm happy with! The grey background was the solution :-)

New frontpage in the works too, stay tuned...
