Generally, yes. Although it will depend on what role you want to enter and 'who you know' in the industry.

There's a bot or a spammer opening threads that first ask some general question (Like the one in here) and then posts an answer with a link to some advertisement. I didn't delete this thread yet for the benefit of the doubt, but once such a reply will appear I think I will delete the entire thread this time (So my apologies in advance to all the innocent bystanders who wrote somethng in this thread...)
