Hello all,
I currently work as a tester and am pursuing a position in production. I recently had a phone interview at a company that I would be very pleased to work for. Following the phone interview I began discussions with their hiring manager regarding my coming on-site for an interview. The tentative date set for my on-site interview came and went without any solid confirmation from the hiring manager. However I quickly received another call asking for my availability for the rest of the week, which I quickly responded to. It has since been a week with no contact whatsoever from the hiring manager or anyone from the company. I sent an email approximately 4 days after my email containing my availability asking about the status of my interview. However that email has also gone unanswered for what is now about half a week. My question to all of you would be: Should I follow up with an email/phone call? If yes, at what point do I pass up "persistent" and go into "pushy" or "annoying". Thanks for any help anyone can give me. I look forward to your advice. |

Call them. Ask them when they will get back to you. Once it passes that date, repeat. Make sure you ask for a contact name and always ask for that person.

It would be a good idea to call. If they give you a date, wait until that date passes before calling again. That way you won't be seen as pushy.
