Ahh you can import any graphic you want. For example a flash site I am working on (It's not done yet ) is www.sectionjgames.com/Darkwater. This uses 3D graphics.
I am almost positive you could make a clone of Zelda or an early final fantasy in flash without much of a problem. Just alot of work. And if "any moron can make a game" then the people who arn't morons should produce great stuff and stand out way above anyone else.
