Default No certificate

hello=)
My name is Melanie and I want to follow a career in 3d modelling/sculpting.

The thing is that I want to do a course that I heard it was very good and students get a very good portfolio at the end... but this school doesn't give any certificate proving that we've made the course..

that's because they have a specific and personal way of teaching that they do not have the right to give the students a certificate.

do you think that a good portfolio is enough when searching for a job, or it will be a problem not to have a certificate?

thanks for the answers and i'm sorry for bad english X:

Melanie,
On one hand, a great portfolio can get you a job without any degree or certificate.
On the other hand, when hirers are considering candidates with equally good portfolios, and one has a degree from an accredited school, and the other does not, the scales tip towards the degree.

Of course it would be better if you have a certificate or proof that you learned it from the school. Try talking to them about the certificate thing, if they won't provide a certificate, then maybe an alternative that will prove your existence from the school.
