Books, Articles, Research
Hello all!
I am a history major that needs to commit to a thesis topic soon. I am interested in exploring a historical aspect of video games, but I have no knowledge of any historical books written about video games. If you, in your travels, have read an article or book and recommend it, please share it here so I can check it out! Obviously the range of books is very broad, but I am very open. If it crosses your mind, post! Thank you all! |
Re: Books, Articles, Research
I have a list at http://sloperama.com/advice/lesson8.htm
In particular, check out the books by David Sheff, Nicholas Lavroff, and Philip E. Orbanes. And a relatively new one I need to add to the FAQ is by Roberto Dillon: "What Can Video Game History Teach Us Today?" Dillon's book takes a very scholastic approach, applying the historical lessons to the state of the industry today. |
